He loves me, he loves me not, he LOVES me.
I have felt so encouraged by his love this week, in a few different ways. It's been like God has been hugging me, whispering to me how much he cares. One of those was definitely the guitar. Such an extravagently beautiful gift, and maybe I'll never know who gave it. Will I ever understand the love of God? No, but I am clutching a precious glimpse right now. I think that the more we understand his love, the more we are able to love others in a way that is real and deep and joyful. As Max Lucado says, "He loves you with an unfailing love, and that love, if you will let it, can fill you and leave you with a love worth giving." True love is ALWAYS worth giving, but what is true love? His love. Him.

I think what Elliot is saying is that if it wasn't for the "still point" or the ideological position behind the dance (which is life), there would be no dance as everyone's dance, or their approach to life, is inspired by their emotions and feelings and ultimately, their inspiration to live day to day as themselves. (Although, hopefully one's inspiration is the awesomeness of God!)
At least that's what came to mind when I read your blog. Whether or not I'm crazily off the mark is beyond me.
As for what you wrote, I don't doubt that God is walking with you in your daily life. God always takes care of His children, even with regards to the little things like helping you continue your passion of music through playing your guitar...And I think that's why you "randomly" and "anonymously" got a guitar. It's a gift that He's given you and He obviously wants you to keep it up!

Stop trying to figure out who gave you the guitar, and focus on the "why"...play it for Emily. The giver has a Matthew 6:1-4 policy, so you will never know who it was. That's not important. It was a gift from God via a friend.

My dear Hannah, YOU are filled with such sensibility! As for your "still point", I believe [I am no true voice of authority] it is like the fixed point of a wheel. The center of the wheel does not move, it is a 'still point'. It is also the source and anchor of movement - the 'dance' if you will for the rest of the wheel. Paradoxically, it is the still point that creates the dance.
Infer what you will from that.
I suppose you could consider God the still point; creating the musical we call nature, all the while a fixed god.
